Welcome to Canine University
We are a professional dog training center in the greater Boston area, with classes and programs for all levels from puppy kindergarten to agility.

All courses incorporate the use of Clicker Training, the most reliable and durable yet gentle method of teaching your dog to be a polite family member and much more.

Upcoming Classes

Beginner Obedience Module
Offered: Wednesdays evenings and Saturday mornings; each session runs for one hour.
A very convenient way to train your dog! All ages and abilities welcome. Modules are sold in 4, 8 and 12 week blocks, and you can move on to more advanced topics when you feel your dog is ready. You can start any week- even this week- and may attend either or both days for the same price!
Puppy Head Start
Next workshop: July 10, 2010
This hands-on workshop is designed to give new puppy owners the head start they need to raise their pups to be great adult dogs.
Puppy Kindergarten
Next class: July 12, 2010
Traditional six week class for puppies 8 to 18 weeks of age at the start of class. There is dedicated socialization/play time at the start of each one-hour session!
Adult Beginners
Next class: July 6, 2010
For puppies 18 weeks and older at the start of class, meets for one hour each week for six weeks.

Featured Classes
Intermediate Obedience Module
Offered: Wednesdays evenings and Saturday mornings
Recommended for those who have taken a class or 2 already. You can start any week and may attend either or both days for the same price. Summer Is Here, and that means longer walks and many outdoor activities; help your dog to consistently put his best foot forward at your next BBQ or hike!
Dog Sports Class
Next class: June 10, 2010
Ideal for both novice trainers as well as those who have taken multiple classes and are now looking for "what's next". Try your hand at canine agility, learn stylized tricks, run them thru a rally obedience course, and much more; fill their minds while growing closer
Beginners Part 2: The Next Step
Next class: June 24, 2010
A continuation of Puppy Kindergarten and Adult Beginners. Class content will include getting your dog to the next level of obedience, problem solving, and reliability around moderate distractions.

Upcoming Workshops and Special Offerings
Rowdy Rovers
August 26, 2010
A class for reactive dogs who have had an initial private training consultation with us and now need to work on those skills in a group setting.
Dog Play 101
October 2, 2010
This affordble, video-driven seminar will teach you how to read the play interactions of dogs. A must for anyone who uses a dog daycare service, visits a dog park or lets their dog interact with other dogs on a regular basis.
Canine University's Dogs RULE! Alumni Weekend
Twelfth Annual! October 15-17, 2010
We are all too pleased to facilitate a memorable weekend of memories with your dog, in the company of other graduates.
